Practitioner Services

Harmony Counselling offers a range of services tailored to support mental health professionals in their development and career progression. One of the key services they provide is CRPO exam preparation. For those seeking to become registered psychotherapists in Ontario, preparing for the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) exam can be a daunting task. These practitioners offer focused guidance, study resources, and mock exams to help candidates understand the format, content, and expectations of the exam, ensuring they feel fully equipped to pass.

Another valuable service provided by psychotherapy professionals is CBA (Competency-Based Assessment) preparation. The CBA is a critical component for certain certifications and licensure in the mental health field. Practitioners offering this service provide personalized coaching, practice assessments, and feedback to help clients assess their clinical skills, knowledge, and competencies in line with specific requirements. This support ensures that candidates can demonstrate their abilities confidently, whether they are aiming for accreditation, licensure, or continuing professional development.

Finally, clinical supervision is an essential service offered by experienced psychotherapists. Clinical supervision provides an opportunity for less experienced practitioners to receive guidance and feedback on their clinical work. It helps them develop therapeutic skills, handle complex client cases, and refine their approaches in a professional and supportive environment. Supervision sessions typically involve case discussions, skill-building exercises, and feedback on therapeutic techniques, fostering both personal and professional growth for emerging clinicians.

These services support the ongoing education and development of psychotherapy professionals, enabling them to provide high-quality care while advancing in their careers.

CRPO Case-Based Assessment (CBA) preparation workshop

Are you feeling confused or nervous about the CRPO call to complete the CBA (Case Based Assessment) this Spring?

If you’re feeling anxious or unsure about the process, it’s understandable, but being part of a supportive community can make a big difference!

The CBA is conducted twice a year, where randomly selected practitioners are asked to demonstrate their knowledge, judgment, and skills in areas relevant to their practice. This CRPO Case Based Assessment Prep Workshop seems like a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the process and gain the confidence you need to approach the assessment effectively!

The CRPO designed this program to encourage Registered Psychotherapists to be self-reflective and think critically about their practice, their professional growth, and their obligations as health professionals.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision services for psychotherapists provide an essential platform for professional growth and skill development. Through regular supervision sessions, therapists receive guidance from more experienced clinicians, helping them reflect on and refine their therapeutic practice. This service is invaluable for both novice and seasoned practitioners, as it fosters a safe space for discussing challenging cases, enhancing therapeutic techniques, and exploring personal and professional development.

Supervisors offer feedback on clinical approaches, ethical considerations, and treatment strategies, helping therapists gain deeper insights into their work. Ultimately, clinical supervision ensures that psychotherapists maintain high standards of care, improve their effectiveness with clients, and continue to evolve as professionals in the mental health field.
