CRPO Case-Based Assessment (CBA) preparation workshop
Are you feeling confused or nervous about the CRPO call to complete the CBA (Case Based Assessment) this Spring?
If you’re feeling anxious or unsure about the process, it’s understandable, but being part of a supportive community can make a big difference!
The CBA is conducted twice a year, where randomly selected practitioners are asked to demonstrate their knowledge, judgment, and skills in areas relevant to their practice. This CRPO Case Based Assessment Prep Workshop seems like a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the process and gain the confidence you need to approach the assessment effectively!
The CRPO designed this program to encourage Registered Psychotherapists to be self-reflective and think critically about their practice, their professional growth, and their obligations as health professionals.
This 2 1/2hr CRPO’s Case based Assessment Prep Workshop is a brief glance at the CRPO Mandatory Quality Assurance Program as well as further exploring what to expect during the CBA process. This workshop was carefully developed to highlight the most important aspects of this process without taking some much of your precious time!
The workshop will offer in-depth understanding of several key aspects:
- Deepening your understanding of the Practice Standards: You’ll get a clearer sense of the CRPO’s practice standards, which are essential in guiding your professional conduct. Understanding these standards is crucial because they form the foundation of the CBA. By familiarizing yourself with them, you can ensure you’re meeting the expectations of the regulatory body and providing safe, effective care.
- Deepening your understanding of the CBA Process: The workshop will also provide insight into the structure and purpose of the CBA itself, helping you understand how the process works and what’s expected. This includes knowing the timelines, procedures, and what to expect during each stage of the process.
- Expectations during the CBA: Knowing what the assessment involves can alleviate anxiety. The workshop will provide an overview of the types of questions and cases you might face, the format of the assessment, and the type of performance you’re expected to demonstrate.
- How CBA cases are weighted and connected to CRPO’s Practice Standards: Understanding how different aspects of the CBA are weighted can help you prioritize your preparation. The cases are likely linked to the practice standards, and learning how they are connected will help you focus on the most critical aspects of your professional practice
